Terms of Service

vercel-recovery provides a web-based utility designed to help developers recover and back up their source code from active or historical Vercel deployments in scenarios where local source files are lost and a Git repository (such as GitHub) is unavailable. The Service operates by authenticating users via Google, GitHub, Apple, or email and password, receiving user-provided Vercel API tokens, accessing the Vercel REST API to retrieve deployment structures, and compiling the files into a downloadable archive.

To use the Service, you must create an account via Google, GitHub, Apple, or email and password. By authenticating via a third-party provider, you grant us permission to access basic profile information necessary to establish your user session. You represent and warrant that you own or have the explicit authorization to manage and recover any Vercel projects and deployments you attempt to access through our Service.

To facilitate the recovery of your deployment, you must manually provide a Vercel API token.

• Token scopes: You are entirely responsible for generating a token with the appropriate scopes necessary for the recovery process.
• Security: You must keep your API tokens secure. We strongly advise using minimum-scope tokens (e.g., read-only tokens scoped to specific projects or teams) and immediately revoking the token within your Vercel account settings once your code download is complete.
• Authorization: You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use the Vercel API token provided and that doing so does not violate Vercel's terms of service, third-party intellectual property rights, or any applicable laws.

The Service operates on a token/credit-based system. Users purchase digital credits (“Tokens”) to initiate deployment recovery and file downloads.

• All sales are final: All purchases of Tokens are strictly non-refundable.
• No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued for unused, partially used, or mistakenly purchased Tokens.
• We do not guarantee that every deployment can be successfully recovered (for example, if deployment files are corrupted, deleted by Vercel under their retention policies, or if Vercel's API is unavailable). Failure of recovery due to incorrect token scopes, deleted deployments, or external API limitations does not entitle the user to a refund.

vercel-recovery is an independent tool developed for disaster recovery and backup purposes. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Vercel Inc., GitHub Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT EVERY DEPLOYMENT RECOVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE COMPLETELY SUCCESSFUL. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VERCEL-RECOVERY, ITS FOUNDERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF SOURCE CODE, VERCEL ACCOUNT SUSPENSION, SECURITY BREACHES, OR RATE-LIMITING ISSUES ENCOUNTERED ON THE VERCEL API.
